Top 5 destinations to study engineering courses abroad

Engineering is the art of acquiring and applying scientific and practical knowledge, in order to design and build structures, machines, devices, systems, materials and processes. An Engineering course can provide an automatic boost to your career. For international students, taking IELTS and TOEFL exam is the basic criterion required for pursuing any course. Some universities also admit students on the basis of interview. The eligibility criterion for admission in engineering courses varies from place to place and location to location. The top five countries for studying engineering abroad are: 
1. United Kingdom 
All colleges of UK work together to admit candidates for Engineering. Each application is assessed by the candidate's college of preference and by one another college. All applications are then reviewed collectively to determine who should be shortlisted for interview. Most UK universities admit students to engineering courses on the basis of interview and former academic record. 
2. United States of America
 The duration of engineering programs in US is four years .There are many universities, that offer an integrated 5-year Master’s and Bachelor’s program. While selecting an institute, it is important to check their accreditation. ABET (Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology) evaluates and accredits engineering programs in the US. 
3. Singapore 
Undergraduate engineering program in Singapore is of four years duration. Intake is once a year in July. The deadline for submitting the application is different for the schools, but decisions are made only after the university receives the result of the Class 12 examination. Some renowned Singaporean universities for engineering courses are National University of Singapore (NUS), Nanyang Technological University (NTU) etc. 
4. Australia
In Australian universities there are intakes twice a year – February and July. Engineering program applicants must have mathematics in all four years of high school. Engineering programs require physics and chemistry up to grade 12. The duration of the course is three years. 
5. Germany
Germany is the hub of automobile engineering and therefore, attracts students from across the globe. It is one of the leading countries in the field of research, science and technology. Proving skills in German language and minimum 60% in academics are mandatory to acquire admission in any course in Germany.
